Volunteer
Do you believe that access to reproductive healthcare is a basic human right? Are you interested in creating positive change within our community? Want to meet like-minded folks? Mabel Wadsworth Center has grown from a conversation around a kitchen table to an incredibly successful, independent feminist health center. Our success is due, in large part, to the dedication of community volunteers. There are many ways to get involved:
Board of Directors and Related Committees: Our diverse Board of Directors donates countless hours to Mabel Wadsworth Center. People from all backgrounds serve on Mabel’s board and various committee. We are accepting applications, learn more about our board and how to apply here.
Abortion Defenders: As Abortion Defenders, you’ll train to become powerful advocates for abortion access and work with a community of fellow volunteers to spread awareness on this issue. We will be welcoming new members with the introductory training 1-2 times a year. You can follow our social media or sign up for our newsletter to see the when we are accepting new members! You are required to attend the 1.5-hour training or watch the recording. Following the first training, we will hold monthly educational workshops or volunteer nights.
