Intern
We typically host two undergraduate and/or graduate interns from area colleges and universities to participate in our education and advocacy programs each year. Internships can range in duration from a single semester or summer to a full year. They work both independently and as part of a team providing community outreach, collaborating with other local organizations, and contributing to our social media presence. Interns participate in our Advocacy Committee, a group of committed volunteers who work to organize events and demonstrations focused on educating our community about reproductive rights and sexual health. Since we are a small organization, interns also have the chance to observe our clinical services, participate in fundraising and help with administrative tasks as needed.
Interns should be:
- Motivated and creative
- Able to work both individually and part of a team
- Committed to reproductive freedom
- Skilled at written and oral communication and interpersonal interaction
- Comfortable talking about safer sex and sexuality in a variety of settings
